Frozen chocolate “Choc-Top” banana on a stick

These frozen bananas make for a cooling treat in the hot summer and are a great fun snack to make.

Not only are they fun but they are also really easy to make. Just freeze and dip in melted chocolate then eat straight away or return to the freezer until your ready to eat them.

  • 2 bananas
  • 50g compound cooking chocolate (semi sweet)
  • 4 Popsicle (craft) sticks

Peal bananas and cut in half crossways. Insert Popsicle sticks. Place on wax / baking paper and freeze bananas.

Once bananas are frozen, remove from freezer and heat 50g of chocolate in a small microwave safe dish for about 20 – 60seconds. Check / stir chocolate every 10 seconds to make sure it doesn’t overcook.

Tilting the chocolate dish on the side dip in the top of the banana and rotate until the top is completely covered. The chocolate should harden within a few seconds. Repeat for remaining bananas.

Place back into the freezer until you’re ready to eat them.
